Safe Play First

Responsible Gambling at pak97

Gambling should always be entertainment — not a source of stress, financial harm or personal difficulty. pak97 provides a full range of tools and information to help every player stay in control of their activity. If gambling has stopped feeling like fun, this page is a starting point for getting back on track.

Need Help Right Now? If gambling is causing you immediate distress, financial hardship or harm to yourself or your family, please contact a qualified support service in your region. Gamblers Anonymous operates internationally and offers peer support groups. GamCare (gamcare.org.uk) provides free confidential support online and by phone for players in the operator's licence jurisdiction. You can also activate the self-exclusion tool in your pak97 account settings immediately — no waiting period, no confirmation calls required.

Our Commitment to Responsible Play

pak97 takes responsible gambling seriously. That is not a policy statement written to satisfy a checkbox — it reflects the platform's genuine belief that sustainable, enjoyable gambling depends on players feeling empowered, informed and in control at every stage of their activity. Players across Pakistan — from Karachi to Lahore, Islamabad to Rawalpindi, Faisalabad to Multan and Peshawar — deserve a platform that backs up its responsible gambling commitments with real tools, not just fine-print disclaimers.

Gambling — whether that's a live PSL in-play bet, a weekend cricket accumulator during an ICC tournament, a session at the live baccarat table, or a few spins on the slots — always carries financial risk. The house edge is real. Odds are designed to favour the operator over the long term. There is no strategy, system or pattern that guarantees consistent winnings. Anyone who tells you otherwise is either misinformed or being deliberately misleading.

Responsible gambling on pak97 means treating your activity as entertainment with a defined budget, in the same way you would approach a cinema ticket, a restaurant meal or a T20 match seat. Once that budget is used, the session ends. The tools available in your account settings are there to help you stick to that approach — and pak97 actively encourages their use.

18+ Only: pak97 is strictly for adults aged 18 years or older — or the higher minimum age required by the operator's applicable licence jurisdiction. Age verification is mandatory before withdrawals are processed, and may be required at any earlier stage at the platform's discretion. If you are under the applicable minimum age, you must not register or use the Services.

Your Control Tools

Six tools available in your pak97 account settings, designed to keep gambling in its proper place.

Deposit Limits

Set a daily, weekly or monthly cap on how much you can deposit into your pak97 account. Expressed in PKR so the figure is always meaningful to you. Limit reductions take effect immediately; increases require a cooling-off period of at least 24 hours.

Loss Limits

Define the maximum net loss you are comfortable with over a set period — daily, weekly or monthly. Once your loss limit is reached, further betting is paused until the period resets. This protects you from chasing losses in a single session.

Session Time Limits

Choose a maximum session duration. When your time is up, you receive a notification and the option to end your session. This tool is particularly useful for late-night sessions during PSL matches or ICC events that run past midnight PKT.

Reality Checks

Set an interval — 15, 30 or 60 minutes — at which the platform will display a pop-up showing your current session duration and net result. This periodic reminder helps break automatic play patterns and keeps your activity conscious and deliberate.

Cool-Off Periods

Take a structured break from gambling without a full self-exclusion. Choose from 1 day, 1 week or 1 month. During a cool-off period, you cannot deposit or place bets. Your account remains accessible for viewing your history and balance.

Self-Exclusion

A firm, binding commitment to stop gambling on pak97 for a defined period: 6 months, 1 year, 3 years, or permanent exclusion. Self-exclusion is irreversible for the chosen duration and cannot be lifted early under any circumstances — even your own request.

All tools are accessible from your Account Settings > Responsible Gambling section. If you have difficulty finding or activating any tool, contact support at [email protected] — daily 10:00–02:00 PKT.

Setting Limits — How It Works

Daily Deposit Limit

The maximum amount in PKR you can deposit in any rolling 24-hour period. Example: a PKR 5,000 daily limit means no further deposits are accepted once that figure is reached, regardless of how many transactions make up the total.

Weekly Deposit Limit

A rolling 7-day cap. If you have a weekly limit of PKR 20,000 and have already deposited PKR 18,000 in the period, you can deposit a maximum of PKR 2,000 more before the week resets.

Monthly Deposit Limit

A 30-day rolling ceiling on total deposits. Useful for players who want an overall monthly gambling budget. Reductions apply instantly; increases require a 7-day cooling-off waiting period before becoming active.

Loss Limit Enforcement

When your net loss within the selected period reaches your limit, all betting and casino play is automatically suspended. The counter resets at the start of the next calendar period. Winnings count against losses — only net figures are tracked.

Healthy vs. Problematic Gambling

The difference between recreational and problematic gambling is usually a question of control, budget adherence and emotional impact rather than frequency or amount alone.

  • You gamble with a pre-set budget and stop when it runs out.
  • Winning feels like a pleasant bonus, not a necessity.
  • You can easily take a break or skip a cricket match without distress.
  • You never borrow money or delay bills to fund gambling.
  • Chasing losses by depositing more after a bad session.
  • Gambling with money set aside for household expenses or family needs.
  • Hiding gambling activity from family members in Lahore, Karachi or anywhere else.
  • Feeling anxious, irritable or restless when not gambling.
  • Needing larger bets to achieve the same level of excitement.

Recognising Problem Gambling

Problem gambling can develop gradually and is not always obvious to the person experiencing it. The following signs are worth being aware of — both for yourself and for those around you.

  • Regularly spending more than you planned on gambling sessions.
  • Borrowing money — from family, friends or credit facilities — to fund gambling activity.
  • Delaying utility bills, school fees or other household expenses to preserve gambling funds.
  • Selling personal possessions to obtain gambling money.
  • Making multiple small deposits to stay under a limit you set for yourself.
  • Feeling that the PKR amount lost "doesn't count" if you are sure you will win it back.

  • Feeling restless, irritable or anxious when trying to cut down or stop gambling.
  • Gambling as a way to escape stress, family problems or difficult emotions rather than for entertainment.
  • Lying to family members about how much time or money you spend gambling.
  • Feeling guilt or shame after gambling sessions but returning regardless.
  • Failed attempts to set and keep voluntary spending limits.
  • Preoccupation with gambling — planning next sessions, reliving past results or calculating future bets when not playing.

  • Withdrawing from family, friends or social commitments to spend more time gambling.
  • Conflict with family members in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad or elsewhere about money or time spent on gambling.
  • Neglecting work, studies or professional responsibilities due to gambling activity.
  • Friends or family expressing concern about your gambling habits.
  • Preferring to spend PSL match evenings gambling rather than watching with family.

Chasing losses is one of the most common and destructive patterns in problem gambling. It occurs when a player responds to a loss by gambling more — often with larger stakes — in an attempt to recover the lost amount in the same session.

  • The belief that "I just need one big win to get back to even" is a cognitive distortion, not a strategy.
  • Each bet is statistically independent. Past losses do not increase the probability of future wins.
  • Chasing typically accelerates losses rather than reversing them.
  • The loss limit tool on pak97 is specifically designed to interrupt this cycle before it becomes destructive.

Self-Exclusion: A Serious Tool for Serious Situations

Self-exclusion is not a temporary pause or a cool-off — it is a firm, binding decision to stop gambling on pak97 for a defined period. If you feel that your gambling has become compulsive, self-exclusion is one of the most effective structural interventions available to you and we encourage you to use it without hesitation.

Support Resources

pak97 does not provide clinical or psychological support services. If you or someone you know is struggling with problem gambling, the following types of organisations offer free, confidential assistance. Please note that availability and coverage may vary; verify current contact details independently as these are text-only references provided for informational guidance.

Gamblers Anonymous (International)

A worldwide fellowship of people who share experience and support to recover from compulsive gambling. Peer-led meetings available in multiple countries. Check gamblers-anonymous.org for current meeting schedules and regional contacts. No referral required.

GamCare (Licence Jurisdiction Resource)

GamCare provides free information, advice and support for people affected by problem gambling, primarily in the UK where many international operators hold licences. Accessible via gamcare.org.uk. Offers online chat, telephone support and a self-help forum.

GambleAware

begambleaware.org offers practical guidance on recognising problem gambling, tools for self-help and referral pathways to treatment services. Funded by the gambling industry but independently operated. Useful starting point for information and treatment options.

Family and Personal Network

In Pakistan, family networks remain one of the most immediate sources of support. Talking to a trusted family member — a sibling, parent or close friend in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad or your own city — about a gambling problem is often the most accessible first step toward getting help.

Important: pak97 does not operate or endorse any of the support organisations listed above. These are independent services referenced in good faith for informational purposes. Always verify their current contact details and service availability independently. pak97 support staff are not trained counsellors and cannot provide personal or clinical support for problem gambling.

Understanding Your Risk Profile

Most players move through different risk levels over time depending on life circumstances, financial pressure and play patterns. Recognising your current position is the first step to maintaining control.

Low Risk Playing within a defined budget, recreational focus
Moderate Risk Occasional overspending, some loss-chasing behaviour
High Risk Regular overspending, hiding activity, financial impact

This visualisation is illustrative only and is not a clinical assessment tool. Risk profiles are individual and context-dependent.

Protecting Under-18s and Vulnerable Players

pak97 operates a strict 18+ access policy. Age verification is a mandatory step in the KYC process and may be triggered at account registration, before first withdrawal or at any time the platform suspects the account holder may be under the applicable minimum age.

If you share a device — a family smartphone in Rawalpindi, a shared tablet in Faisalabad, a household computer in Peshawar — it is your responsibility to ensure that minors cannot access your pak97 account. Practical steps include:

  • Using a strong, unique account password not shared with others in your household.
  • Enabling biometric lock on your mobile device.
  • Logging out of pak97 fully after each session, particularly on shared devices.
  • Using parental control software on household devices accessible to children.
  • Never sharing your account credentials with anyone, regardless of age.
Report under-age access: If you are aware or suspect that a minor has registered or accessed a pak97 account, report this immediately to [email protected]. Accounts confirmed to belong to individuals under the applicable minimum age will be closed and associated balances handled in accordance with the Terms & Conditions.

Play Responsibly — or Take a Break
